TACTICAL EMERG. FIRST AID/TRAUMA CARE
The California Law Enforcement Tactical Casualty Care is a Tactical First Aid course approved by the State of California Emergency Medical Services Authority (EMSA). This course teaches the basic medical care interventions, which can save an injured officer or victims’ life until they can be assisted by conventional EMS. It uses the principles of Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC), and meets or exceeds the recommendations of the Hartford Consensus documents, Committee on Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (C-TECC) and EMSA guidelines. This course is based on the Law Enforcement First Responder Tactical Casualty Care (LEFR) course by the National Association of EMTs compliant with certain provisions of the 2015 amendments to the California Code of Regulations under Title 22. Program also meets the training standards set forth in various statutes as amended under AB 1598 (2014)
