This course is a 16-hour course designed to train sworn peace officers through out the state of California in the deployment of less-lethal munitions (37/40MM CS/Smoke/20F foam baton munitions, and the Full Tactical Carbine PepperBall Launching system). Students will learn to deploy less lethal munitions during a mobile field force deployment, case law and legal issues pertaining to less lethal devices in mobile field force situations will also be covered. Each student will be exposed to a non lethal crowd control chemical agent as part of the certification. Students will take a written test to ensure they understand the material. It is recommended that each student bring a change of clothes and a towel. This course provides updated legislative content of Penal Code Section 835a.

This course is a 16-hour course designed to train sworn peace officers through out the state of California in the deployment of less-lethal munitions (37/40MM CS/Smoke/20F foam baton munitions, and the Full Tactical Carbine PepperBall Launching system). Students will learn to deploy less lethal munitions during a mobile field force deployment, case law and legal issues pertaining to less lethal devices in mobile field force situations will also be covered. Each student will be exposed to a non lethal crowd control chemical agent as part of the certification. Students will take a written test to ensure they understand the material. It is recommended that each student bring a change of clothes and a towel. This course provides updated legislative content of Penal Code Section 835a.
