This course will provide training for in-service peace officers to comply with POST regulations to provide instruction/training in chemical agents. The course includes a review of use of force and related agency policies, deployment techniques, use of protective mask, use of chemical agent munitions, decontamination/care, instruction techniques, and various scenario exercises. This course provides updated legislative content of Penal Code Section 835a.
