The Tactical Analysis Tradecraft Course is a unique training environment which explores proven analytic tradecraft to
produce actionable intelligence designed to further law enforcement investigations. Instructional blocks on topics such

This course will provide instruction on how to identify chemicals and precursors associated with homemade explosives as well as the manufacturing of improvised explosive devices. Many of the precursor chemicals found in a homemade explosives lab are also utilized in the manufacturing of controlled substances, which poses a danger to first responders. This course also provides information on how to differentiate explosive precursors from drug precursors as well as provide actual case studies involving clandestine explosive laboratories. Participants will work a simulated HME lab and determine what explosives are being manufactured from readily available commercial products.

This training course teaches students the emerging violent threats facing law enforcement and all first responders from members of the Radical Right, Jihadist groups and Mexican Drug Cartels. The students will be taught the motivations, tactics, and relationships and shared ideologies of these groups and will provide the investigators the resources available to counter these threats. The discussion will close with a detailed case study of the Mumbai, India terrorist attack in 2008, which allied an Islamic terrorist group with an organized criminal syndicate and how to identify and respond to a similar assault weapons terrorist attack in California. This training program consists of five modules taught via lecture and student/instructor interaction. Facilitator-led discussion and a final exam will be used to determine student knowledge.
